Im Hintergrund das Städtchen Regensberg. Hier kann man im Winter skifahren,
sofern es genügend Schnee hat. Links in der Wiese erkennt man einen Masten des Skilifts.

March 13, 1989, my 46th birthday.
My first bike after a break of 13 years. The Yamaha TX750 was not my last bike as I'd feared.
1989 was the last year the first series' SRX6 was imported to Switzerland. Second series and 400 ccm models had never been imported.
It was my third single after two Aermacchis. The bike proved reliable on trips to Italy, Austria, France and Germany.
I had been using it for 11 years and I put about 40'000 miles on it. Drawbacks were the missing center-stand and electric starter.

Die Schweizer Ausführung musste mit einer Rohrverlängerung am Schalldämpfer versehen werden, um den hiesigen Anforderungen zu genügen.

Swiss models had to have a muffler pipe reaching past the rear axle. The bike poses here on a hill with 'Regensberg' in the background, a well known ancient village near the international Airrport Zurich-Kloten. By the way, thanks to Sjak I now know what 'Kloten' means in Dutch!

Lukmanier

Mit Peti auf dem Lukmanier 1992.

In the Alps with Peter on the pillion. Not exactly the bike for two up, but we even did a jaunt to the French Alps in summer 1992.
