Lamborghini Murcielago
Sunday, April 24, 2005

What a surprise on a Sunday morning!

Introduction
The Murcielago is the most recent of the line of mid-engine, V12 sports cars from Lamborghini that began in the 1960s with the Miura, followed in succession by the Countach and the Diablo. Lamborghini's first vehicles were tractors, as company founder Ferrucio Lamborghini filled the acute needs of Italian farmers recovering from World War II. The first Lamborghini sports car was the 350GTV which debuted in 1963. After passing through several hands, the company is now solely owned by Audi AG.

New for 2004
The Murcielago Roadster is added for 2004 with a removable hardtop, but it is more than just a coupe without the roof. The Roadster has its own aggressive appearance, and chassis components have been redesigned to ensure torsional stiffness, including a special stiffening lattice for the engine compartment.
